Cynthia Haines, M.D. (Dr. Cindy Haines) is Chief Medical Officer of HealthDay, Managing Editor of HealthDay-Physician's Briefing, and President of Haines Medical Communications, Inc., a medical communications and consulting firm. Dr. Cindy Haines is also the host of the daily syndicated health news video series, HealthDay TV.
Dr. Haines earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and psychology from Saint Louis University. She went on to earn an M.D. with Distinction, as well as a Geriatric Scholar's Award, from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Haines is affiliated with Saint Louis University School of Medicine where she is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. She was honored with election to the National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals in 2004, America's Top Doctors in 2007, and is also a member of the International Mensa Society.
Dr. Haines has served as President of the Saint Louis Academy of Family Physicians (2010) and is also a member of numerous other professional associations including the American Medical Association and the American Diabetes Association. Past affiliation includes serving as Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the St. Louis chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (2007-2009).
As a family physician and medical communicator, Dr. Cindy Haines is well- versed in all areas of health care and specializes in delivering complicated information in accessible ways.
